Sitagu Compassion In Action Rakhine Mission

In September 2017, Sitagu Sayadawgyi made an announcement that he had started a Rakhine Relief Fund after unrest in the area.

On December 27, 2017, after months of collecting donations of cash and materials from Myanmar and abroad (particularly the Myanmar, US and Korea); Sitagu Sayadawgyi and his Sitagu International Buddhist Missionary Association (SIBA) visited Rakhine Division to distribute these donations.

The donations were equally divided to three different areas: Buthethaung, Maung Taw and Yathaythaung in Rakhine Division. 

Donation Summary:
1. USD $75,000 in cash total or $25,000 per each area to be used equally for Education and Health Care.
2. 3 - 40’ containers full of clothing and footwear
3. 3 - medical ambulances for local hospitals 

Just like Sayadawgyi’s Cyclone Nargis Compassion in Action Mission in 2008, this Rakhine relief is for anyone in need, regardless of race or religion.
