National Conference on Faith for Children“ယုံကြည်ဆောင်ရွက် ကလေးများအတွက်” နိုင်ငံတော်အဆင့် စုံညီ ဆွေးနွေးပွဲကို ၂-၄-၂၀၁၄ နေ့က ရန်ကုန်မြို့ ချက်ထရီယမ်ဟိုတယ် (Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake Yangon) တွင် ကျင်းပသည်။ ထိုပွဲသို့ သီတဂူဆရာတော်ကြီး တက်ရောက် မိန့်ခွန်းပြောသည်။

“ခလေး...ခလေး - ခလေးကို အထင်မသေးကြပါနဲ့”

ခလေးတွေကို ပစ်မထားကြပါနဲ့- လူကြီးတွေက ခလေးကဖြစ်လာကြတာပါ။ ယနေ့ ခလေးတွေဟာ မကြာခင်လူကြီးဖြစ်လာကြမှာပါ။ ယနေ့လူကြီးတွေဟာ ယမန်နေ့က ခလေးတွေပါ။ ယနေ့ပြည်ထောင်စုမြန်မာနိုင်ငံတော်သမ္မတကြီး ဦးသိန်းစိန်သည်  လွန်ခဲ့သော နှစ် (၅၀)တုန်းက ကလေးလေးပါ။ မြစ်တွေ/ချောင်းတွေကြားက ဘုန်းကြီး ကျောင်းသားလေးပါ။ ယနေ့ အမေရိကန်သမ္မတကြီး အိုဘားမာဟာ လွန်ခဲ့သော နှစ် (၄၀)လောက်က အင်ဒိုနီးရှား ကျွန်းစုတွေကြားက ခလေးလေး တစ်ယောက်ပါ။

 ဗုဒ္ဓက- ခလေးတို့အတွက် - လူကြီးတွေလုပ်ပေးရမည့်တာ၀န်တွေကို - ဒီလို ပြောထားပါတယ်။

 ၁။ မကောင်းမှုမပြုမိအောင် တားမြစ်ပေးရမယ်၊

၂။ ကောင်းသော အပြု၊ အပြော၊ အတွေးတို့ကို ပြုတတ်၊ ပြောတတ်၊ တွေးတတ်အောင်သင်ပြပေးရမယ်၊
၃။ သိပ္ပ-ဝိဇ္ဇာပညာရပ်၊ အသက်မွေး၀မ်းကျောင်းပညာရပ်တို့ကို သင်ပြပေးရမယ်။
၄။ လှပသောလူဘ၀တစ်ခု တည်ဆောက်နိုင်အောင် အရင်းအနှီးကောင်းကောင်း
တည်ထောင်ပေးရမယ်၊
၅။ ခိုင်မာလှပသော လူ့ဘ၀၊ လူ့အဖွဲ့အစည်းတည်ဆောက်ပေးရမယ်၊
၆။ ခလေးတို့မှာ ကျရောက်မည့် အန္တာရယ်များကို ကာကွယ်စောင့်ရှောက်ပေးရမယ်၊
အသက်အန္တရာရာယ်၊ ကျန်းမာရေးအန္တရာယ်၊ ပညာရေးအန္တရာယ်၊ အကျင့်စာရိတ္တ
အန္တရာယ်၊ စိတ်ဓါတ်ရေးရာအန္တရာယ်တို့မှ ကာကွယ်ပေးရမယ်။ မျက်မှောက်ခေတ်
အနေအထားကို ကြည့်၍ပြောရလျှင် - လူကုန်ကူးသူတို့အန္တရာယ်၊ ခလေးအလုပ်
သမားအန္တရာယ်၊ ခလေးစစ်သားဖြစ်မည့် အန္တရာယ်၊ မူးရစ်အန္တရာယ်တို့မှ
ကင်းလွတ်အောင် စောင့်ရှောက်ပေးရန် ယနေ့လူကြီးတွေမှာ တာ၀န်ရှိပါတယ်။
၇။ ခလေးတွေကို ခလေးနဲ့ သင့်လျှော်သော နေရာအရပ်သို့ ပို့ပေးရန်လည်း တာ၀န်
အထူးရှိပါတယ်။
မတော်သောနေရာသို့ မပို့မိဖို့ အထူးရေးကြီးပါတယ်။

 သိဒ္ဓတ္ထ မင်းသားကလေးဟာ သူ့အမေကို သူမမြင်လိုက်ရပါဘူး။ ဖွားပြီး (၇)ရက် အကြာမှာ အမေကွယ်လွန်ခဲ့ပါတယ်။ သို့သော် အဖေဘုရင်သုဒ္ဓေါဓနက အတော်ဆုံး အတတ်ဆုံးသော ဆရာတွေထံ ပို့အပ်ခဲ့လို့ လောကရဲ့ထိပ်ဆုံးသို့ ရောက်ခဲ့ပါတယ်။

 ခလေးတွေဟာ ကြည်လင်သောရေနှင့် တူပါတယ်။ ကြည်လင်သောရေကို မည်သည့်အရောင်မဆို ဆိုးလို့ရပါတယ်။

ယနေ့လူကြီးတွေခပ်များများဟာ ရေနောက်တွေလို ဖြစ်နေကြပါတယ်။ နောက်ထပ် အရောင်တစ်မျိုးထပ်ဆိုးလို့ မရတော့ပါဘူး။ ယနေ့လူကြီးတစ်ချို့ဟာ အရောင်အသွေး ညစ်နေပြီဖြစ်လို့ သူတို့ထံက တောက်ပတဲ့ရောင်ပြန်ကိုတောင် ကျွနုပ်တို့ မရနိုင်တော့ ပါဘူး။ ဒါတွင်မက သူတို့ရဲ့ညစ်နွမ်းတဲ့ သူတို့ရောင်ပြန်တွေကြောင့်ဘဲ ဒီကမ္ဘာကြီးလဲ ညစ်နွမ်းနေပါပြီ။

ဒါ့ကြောင့် ကြည်လင်သောရေ၊ အေးချမ်းသောရေနှင့် တူစွာသောခလေးငယ်တို့၏ ဘ၀လှပသော ဟန်ချက်ညီ အရောင်ကလေးများ ချယ်မှုန်းပေးကြပါဟု တိုက်တွန်းအပ် ပါသည်။

ယနေ့ကလေးတို့၏ဘ၀ကို အလှဆင်ပေးခြင်းသည် အနာဂတ်ကမ္ဘာကို အလှဆင် လိုက်ခြင်းပင်ဖြစ်ပါသည်။

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Good Morning!

Today, I'm very much honored to be invited to deliver an opening remark at the National Conference on Faith for Children. The title of this conference itself is very attractive, as the role of children plays a vital role in shaping a better future of the world.

I would, first of all, like to stress that children should not be neglected by their parents and elders who are often busy with their daily office routines and house works. When the parents and elders are more tired after work, they become more impatient and their kids feel more neglected. This is totally wrong. We should always be patient with them and pay attention to their needs however busy we are or how serious problem we are facing is.

No children go against the natural phenomenon of growth as time passes by. They are gradually changing to the state of adolescence and they soon become fully grown up. We should be mindful of the saying that youths of today are the leaders of tomorrow. Adults of today were once children. President U Thein Sein was a mere monastic boy about 50 years ago. While spending his childhood around the creeks and rivers, he received monastic education at the monastery of his birth place. President Obama also enjoyed his younger days among the isles of Indonesia about (40) years back.

Our Lord Buddha, truly understanding the importance of the role of children, emphasized the duties of parents, teachers and elders to their offsprings in one of his discourses as follows:

1. to prevent them from doing evils
2. to direct them to do good deeds, to make good speeches and to have good thoughts
3. to create favorable educational conditions for them to learn arts and science and also attend vocational courses
4. to provide them with a big financial investment for a successful business so as to lead them a better living standard in life
5. to build pleasant human society for them
6. to protect them from various dangers in the areas of health, education, morality and mentality.
7. The world has witnessed more and more dangers for the youths to face such as human trafficking, abuse of child labour and child soldier and narcotic drugs. So we are more responsible to protect our children from such new dangers.
8. to let them grow up in a most suitable place, society and environment.
   On the contrary, unsuitable place and society would lead them grow up in bad shape.

Prince Siddhattha, when grown up, could not see his mother who passed away after seven days of his birth. Thanks to his father king Suddhodhana, who educated him under the most prominent teachers of their time, he eventually became the Supreme teacher of the world.

Another example can be given in the case of Jesus Christ who had never seen his father since his childhood. Due to his mother's right decision, he was sent to the wisest teachers and that he reached the highest position. I am most happy to give you here a brief account of my life which also is a good example in this regard. My father died when I was seven. I was sent to the most famous and learned senior monks. I am always thankful to my mother who brought me up in good way and made me become Dr. Nyanissara of today.

We should be mindful here that adults of today are not seen as good exemplary to the youths due to the thick layer of defilements which is deeply rooted in their hearts. They are like the contaminated water and no clear reflection of good deeds can be received from them. Bad reflection they produce makes the world dirty. The lives of children can be compared with clear water. I would, therefore, like to strongly urge the whole world through this conference that we need to paint the lives of children beautiful with harmonious colors. Beautifying the lives of children is the work of beautifying the future world.
I wish all join hands to upgrade the lives of children and make them possess a better future.
